Don't let the diminutive size fool you. The King Baby boasts full-size tube amp tone in small package. It weighs just 6.5 lbs and comes in a portable 11 (W) x 6 (H) x 7.25 (D) cabinet.
The pre-amp, based on the King Daddy, features two 12AX7 gain stages, Volume, Bass, Treble and Middle. Power is provided by a single EL84 pentode.
The 5W output makes it a great practice or recording amp. Hook it up to your favorite cab for big overdriven sound without blowing out your ears. But it's not just a great low power amp. The King Baby can also function as pre-amp by connecting the Slave Out to the input of another amp, or turn it into a tube overdrive by using it in conjunction with a looper pedal.
We've done a couple things to make it play nicely with other gear: when the speaker is unplugged, a dummy load is switched in. This means you can connect the Slave Out to other gear while leaving the King Baby silent. We've also included ground loop defeating circuitry to eliminate the potential for hum.

The Nickel Box is single-ended amplifier that puts out 5W from either an EL84 or 6V6. It features our unique preamp design that utilizes an EF86 pentode fronted by a 12AX7 twin-triode.
The low wattage makes it a great practice or recording amp. There is a convenient line-out jack on the bottom of the chassis for plugging into a console. The speaker can safely be unplugged for late-night recording sessions. The bright and punchy output through a 12" Eminence Private Jack speaker allows the de Lisle Nickel Box to sound much larger on tape (or disc). We opted for a larger, solid pine cabinet to avoid the "boxy" sound typically associated with low wattage amps. This speaker and cabinet combination allows the amp to sound open, full and rich.
The clean tones are sparkly and complex with a good amount of level. When pushed, or when the boost switch is flipped, the overdrive can be thick and creamy or bright and edgy. But it's voiced to overdrive without getting muddy. This filtering is aided by a simplified version of our modified "James" style tone stack which allows the player to tailor a wide range of bass and treble frequencies around mids.
The Nickel Box is also a very quiet amp. Preamp grid wires are shielded to extraneous noise. We use a "galactic" star grounding scheme to keep hum and noise from entering the signal path. We also use a DC elevated heater supply in conjunction with a balance pot to eliminate filament hum.
We've added two features to an already outstanding amp: a headphone jack and build-in attenuator that drops output to 1/8W.
"I just got the amp and have spent a little time with it. Great job! Well balanced tones and nicely voiced throughout. It sounds 'big' without sounding loud. Warm and detailed - just what I was hoping for."

Like its Nickel Box cousin, the Victor Vibe offers a whole lotta tone in small-watt package. The pre-amp features a full Bass, Treble and Middle tonestack in addition to Volume and Master Volume controls. Our take on true Vibrato, sometimes referred to as "Harmonic Vibrato," is a standard on-board effect. This adds a layer of pitch-shifting complexity on top of volume modulation. Check out the clips to hear the results.
Output power is provided by a 6V6. We also offer the Victor Vibe with an EL84 or 6973 output tube. Just tell us if you prefer one of those when placing an order.
Inside the Victor Vibe, you'll find quality components and solid construction techniques like a hand-wired turret board, silver plated Teflon coated wire, star grounding, and American made transformers. All this goodness is housed in a solid pine cabinet with your choice of 12" Eminence or WGS speaker and backed by our lifetime warranty.

The Double Nickel began as a one-off amp for a customer in Los Angeles. He wanted an amplifier built around his stash of vintage 7355 tubes. Since we are in the business of designing great sounding tube amps, we were more than happy to take on the challenge. We tweaked the Nickel Box design by beefing up the transformers and redesigning the output stage to suit the 8 pin beam power pentode. We liked the results so much that we decided to add a variation of this powerful singled-ended design to our amplifier lineup.
The Double Nickel utilizes a lone 6L6-GC in the output stage to produce a wide-range of rich single-ended tones. With 12W of power and a super sensitive Eminence Wizard speaker, the Double Nickel will definitely wake the neighbors.
The Double Nickel is a phenomenal amp. Plenty of volume, adequate clean headroom, and tone controls that really work. The amp is very tweakable with the two volume controls allowing you to fine tune the amount of grit. Does well with Strats, pedals and humbuckers. The pickups are very differentiated and engaging the pickup switch on a Strat really brings out contrasting tones. I recently recorded my Strat and the guitar was very bell like with no muddiness. The amp circuitry is well matched with the British voiced Wizard speaker, and solid pine cabinet. The style leans towards British tones, but you can also hear American black face flavors. This is the most harmonically rich amp I have owned (and I have possessed a number of boutique amps). The amp is equally matched by first rate service. By that I mean Jer answers the phone, describes each amp accurately and does exactly what he says he will do. I had a damaged tube from shipping and he replaced it immediately without question. I really like the buffet style ordering where you order the features you want not the ones the company wants to sell you. If you want quick and individualized service that offers a price tag close to production style products, de Lisle is your ticket.

| Note: specifications subject to change based on selected options. | |
The Studio is based on the original 15P, but it includes a number of additions. (Items unique to the 15P Studio appear in bold on the Specs tab.)
The Studio comes standard with our own "transformerless" tube-driven reverb circuit, which is a great sounding and quiet version of this classic effect.
This amp is also the first de Lisle model to feature a tube buffered FX loop. Both the send and return jacks have corresponding level controls. The return mix control is actually a multi-function pot. In addition to mixing the wet and dry signals, it's duties include series/parallel operation, phase, and gain (when no effects are connected). The latter allows the EF86 to be overdriven to a greater degree than the stock 15P since the signal is amplified slightly before entering the loop.
The rear panel features both a balanced (XLR) transformer-isolated output and an unbalanced (1/4") output with a common level control. Either output can be used with or without a speaker load. The XLR output requires a larger signal to give us the required output level, so we have incorporated the 1/4" / XLR toggle switch to bump up the source voltage.
The speaker can be safely unplugged for late night practicing through the headphone jack, which also doubles as an attenuated output when a speaker is connected to it.
The newest version of the 15P Studio also includes a switched Presence circuit and individual gain controls for the EF86 and 12AX7 preamp stages. See the photos above for the new layout.

Just like our previous models, the 15P is an original de Lisle design. Our unique preamp features an EF86 fronted by a 12AX7 twin-triode. From there the signal is fed to the rugged 12AY7 which takes on phase inverting duties. Output power is provided by a pair of EL84s. In the standard configuration, a single 12" Eminence Private Jack sits behind the TV front cabinet putting out beautiful, textured tones. We chose the Private Jack note only for its great sound, but also for its sensitivity. An efficient speaker really allows the amp to open up. The 15P is also available with the slightly more sensitive Eminence Red Fang speaker. Either way, the 15P can deliver the goods in the loudness category.
It's crisp and bright without being harsh and voiced to overdrive without getting muddy yet still delivers a solid bottom end. A modified James-style tone stack allows the player to tailor bass and treble frequencies. Tone shaping and the gain structure are also manipulated by the Boost switch for the 12AX7.
We have taken several steps to ensure that your tone is what comes through the speaker: shielded wiring, star grounding, a DC elevated heater supply, and a sensible gain structure ensure a very quiet EF86-based preamp.
The 15P is hand-built right here in our workshop using only high quality components. Both the combo and head versions are housed in a road-ready solid pine cabinet constructed with dovetail joinery. Board components are mounted on a turrets for ease of service and reliability. It's a versatile, professional piece of gear offered at a price many players can afford.

The King Daddy is a straightfoward rock and roll amp. This original circuit features two 12AX7 gain stages that feed our unique combination of a 12AU7 cathodyne phase inverter with an EF86 driver. Output is powered by a pair of cathode biased 6973s. Controls include Treble, Bass and our new Boost knob. This control allows the player boost mid frequencies or back them out for a more scooped tone. Two Volume knobs set the overall output level and overdrive. Volume 1 controls the ouput of the first gain stage. Roll it down for some crisp cleans. Vol 2 is the VarioDyne control.
The VarioDyne is our take on power reduction through voltage control. Unlike similar methods that only manipulate DC voltages, the VarioDyne also controls the AC signal voltages coming into the reduced power stages. Our approach eliminates the need for an additional Master / Drive pot by reducing the input signal to suit the new DC operating point. We do this without reducing the preamp DC voltages to maintain a smooth overdrive. The VarioDyne is great for matching stage volume to a specific venue, dropping the output for the studio or even playing at home. Just turn the Volume 2 knob to adjust the power output while maintaining the amp's character and tone. Simple and effective.

It's a little bit country, a little bit rock and roll, and right at home anywhere in between. The Travis County Reverb pumps out 16 watts of boot stomping fun from a pair of 6973s and an Eminence Lil' Texas speaker. Standard features include our tube-driven spring reverb, a red sparkle wrap and white cane grill.
The Travis County Reverb was designed in collaboration with Mandy Marie Luke, a fabulous Tele picker and songwriter living in Austin, TX. She wanted something lighter than her Vibroverb, with reverb and simple controls. And since the amp would be mic'ed in live situations, it didn't need to be quite as powerful as her current workhorse. With those goals in mind, we set out to design a new amplifier...
Since all of our combos are constructed of pine, meeting the weight requirement wasn't an issue. The Travis County Reverb is very manageable weighing just over 30 lbs. It's still built to last: panels are secured with half-blind dovetail joints to withstand the rigors of the road.
In the bottom of the combo, we installed a spring reverb tank for that classic tube-driven effect. Our original reverb circuit was tweaked to suit this amp's tube lineup.
The top-mounted control panel is home to a pair of volume controls, reverb level, bass and treble. The latter two make up our simplified (yet extremely flexible) tonestack. An additional layer of tone-shaping is provided by the variable negative feedback circuit around the power amp.
The 9 pin 6973s deliver 16 watts and offer the unique tonal characteristics of beam power tube construction. In this application, their ability to take larger input signals gives the 6973s an advantage over the more widely known EL84s.
The cabinet houses a birch baffle and a single 12" Eminence speaker that projects the Travis County Reverb's full and detailed voice. We chose Eminence speakers not only for their great sound but also for their sensitivity, which allows more of the amp's power to be converted into sound energy.
Wrap it all in a red, white and blue color scheme and we have one great sounding amp ready to take on the Travis County live music scene.
More about Mandy Marie Luke: Mandy has been playing around the Midwest for several years. Her debut album, $600 Boots (available on iTunes), was released in October of 2009 with her band the Cool Hand Lukes. Check out a few of their songs here:

Well, how is the Travis County Reverb holding up ?, I'll tell ya ......
Being the husband of Marie Luke is fun enough on any given day but when it comes to choosing a piece of gear for a session or gig, it can be murder !!! We can argue for two straight days about one set of pick ups over another and even which is the best strap (seems women have a unique problem with a guitar strap) (who would have believed ?) Though we are blessed with a big ol' house full of amps from way back when to modern beauties our amp choice is such a lot easier these days.
Mandy's original concept for this amp (Travis County Reverb) becomes crystal clear when you are down here in the trenches working, a lot of clubs in Austin are physically very small and as most have a more than decent house PA system installed you really do not need to be toting a big stack of boxes and road cases just to impress or annoy the bar staff.
Right off the bat - each of the 16 watts this little red beauty offer up are somehow worth at least 2 of any other manufacturers, the speaker is lusty and vibrant and this amp just plain delivers. The controls are simple to figure and just work exactly as their names suggest so dialing in a 'tone' is a doddle, mix in a little of that gorgeous reverb and I'm 'good to go' (yeah, order me a Shiner please) 'Set up' and 'tear down' are a breeze and in a day that might easily see 2 or more gigs walking into a club with this in one hand and a Tele in a gig bag over your shoulder is about as simple as it gets.
The build quality of those fantastic good looks is also top class all round, this particular amp is a true 'workhorse' amp with all the style and good looks of a thoroughbred -- thanks !

The Rutgers Reverb is our first vintage inspired amp. An homage to a mid-sixties classic, the single channel Rutgers Reverb pumps out 23 watts through a 12" Eminence speaker housed in a solid pine cabinet. For basic controls, it has Volume, Treble, Bass, and Middle. Built-in effects include tube-driven spring reverb and foot-switchable bias modulating tremolo. The tube lineup consists of 12AX7s (2), 12AT7s (2), 5881s (2) and GZ34 rectifier.
We've made several changes to the original design to improve reliability and performance. Enhanced low frequency filtering and the 12" speaker help to rein in the bottom end-it's fat, clear and authoritative. The addition of the wide-range Middle control allows for the familiar scooped sound or increased mid-range punch. The layout has been reorganized and converted to "Star" grounding for extremely quiet operation. Additional noise reduction improvements include shielded grid wiring and a DC elevated heater supply. To meet the increased power demands, both the power and output transformers have been beefed up. The Rutgers Reverb will run 5881s or 6L6s. A quick rebias is all that is needed to switch tubes, and this is easily accomplished with the included adjustable bias feature. A rugged 12AT7 has taken over the phase inverter duties to better suit the larger output tubes. Although still a cathodyne phase inverter, the 12AT7 offers greater signal swing and headroom than the original 12AX7.
From crystalline cleans to classic crunch, the Rutgers Reverb captures the soul of the past with a few modern twists. We're proud to offer it in our line of hand-wired amps.

I totally, totally love this amp. I have my first loud practice tonight and first loud gig Saturday, and I can't wait to play through it.
Well, I got the amp today and wow... totally surpassed my expectations!! First, it looks beautiful, I couldn't be happier with the Tolex/Grill cover combination. You're right, with the marble effect the of the wine tolex the black grill just matches perfectly. Classy and Slick. Looked great in the pics and better in front of me. The control panel looks awesome, great choice of knobs too. This is totally gonna turn a few heads, I have no doubt. And the sound.. Well, I plugged in my Sheraton with TV Jones pickups and I instantly fell in love. First, I had the reverb off. I just wanted to get the character off the amp unaltered. I strummed a D Minor chord (5th pos, A string) and it just sang. Great full sound, filled the room. The EQ is fantastic, so many tonal possibilities. The mids and low end are dialed in just right for this style of amp. As I said before I have played mostly Blackface RI's of various types and the Rutgers kills them. Then I added reverb. I have to say it's probably the most lush reverb I have heard on an amp. Tons of mojo. Usable even dimed. Sadly, my strat is in the shop so won't know what sounds like through the Rutgers for like a week. :( Just wanted to let you know how satisfied I am with this amp. Good stuff man. Thanks so much
OK you guy's......I've had time to mess around with this amp as I've had it for a few days now. Throughout my 30+ years of guitar playing, I've owned all tube amps like Marshall, Mesa-Boogie, Vox, Fender, etc. This amp absolutely SMOKES all of them! The clean tone, dirty tone, reverb, dynamic response, the look, the quality of it's build are all unbelievably top notch. I couldn't be happier. Jer is a genius and a great guy to work with. Seriously, if you're considering deLisle, and have reservations because this company is perhaps lesser known than the big cheeses I mentioned......fear not, these amps are the some of the very best hand wired, boutique amps out there.

It shimmers, it shines, it grunts and it growls. The de Lisle 35P was designed to cover a broad tonal range and cover it well. (Check out the Review tab.)
The 35P pumps out 35 watts of power in push-pull mode. Output can also be dropped down to 12 watts in the harmonically rich single-ended mode. The preamp features our signature arrangement, an EF86 fronted by a 12AX7. Modified James-style tone controls allow the player to tailor bass and treble frequencies. This tone stack offers greater frequency manipulation than some other designs. Choose the Expanded Control Panel options for even more variety. This option includes a Master Volume in addition to individual gain stage controls. The tone stack is expanded to include Contour. A switched Negative Feedback circuit is added as well as Pentode-Triode switching for the the EF86.
Output is powered by a pair of 6L6-GC tubes, which are preceded by a 12AT7 phase inverter. Cathode biasing in the power stage ensures user-friendly operation.
An American made 12" Eminence Wizard speaker is mounted to a birch ply baffle and housed in a large, solid pine cabinet. The pine planks are secured with dovetail joinery and finished off with a TV front. Our classic Blonde and brown color scheme covers the cabinet and baffle.
The 35P is hand-built right here in our workshop using high quality components from numerous American manufacturers. It's a versatile, professional piece of gear offered at a price that many players can afford.

de Lisle 60P was first mentioned in early 2010. Since that time, the design has been refined and prepped to be our first new amp of 2011. So, we're happy to announce: the 60P is ready. Happy new year.
It's simple, elegant and powerful enough to blow the doors off your favorite juke joint.
