Our string block was born out of a desire to make construction more streamlined. After doing some research, we discovered that Leo Fender had already introduced a similar plastic block on certain G&L guitars. Ours is a little different from Leo's in that it is made from 6061 aluminum or brass. The block adds sustain and frequency response. Our new design add more mass and "lip" around the top edge. This helps hide any paint or router imperfections that would be visible with our previous flush-mount design.
Our ferrule blocks feature a .25" radius on both ends. This allows the slot in the back of the guitar to be cut using a .5" diameter router bit with a shank mounted guide bearing (not included). String spacing is 2.125". Ferrule Block Only

de Lisle Pentatone Switch This is the same passive tone control that we use in our guitars. It's similar to the Gibson Varitone switch in function. We use a quality, sealed 6-position switch that features five frequency settings in addition to bypass. The Pentatone switch comes pre-assembled and ready to install--just connect the the signal and ground wires. Purchase includes chicken-head knob, dial plate and the switch.
The switch diameter is 1.125". The depth under the mounting surface is about 1.175".
